The Moon Festival is one of the most important traditions for the Chinese (and now Koreans and Japanese as well!). It is normally celebrated as a mid-autumn festival. It is a great time for people to spend time with family and if they cannot, they can take comfort in knowing that they are gazing at the same moon as their loved one. This gives a feeling of optimism and happiness.
